The Capital Development Authority says it is planning an electric double-decker sightseeing service in Islamabad, with a dedicated circuit proposed to connect more than 15 recreational, scenic and heritage destinations.

In an update published on September 25, the CDA said the proposed service would link sites including Lake View Park, Shakarparian, Pakistan Monument, Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh and D-Chowk.

Proposal, not a launch announcement

The authority said each bus would have capacity for up to 90 passengers, including 67 seats, and would include low-floor boarding, wheelchair space, air conditioning and modern braking, stability and suspension systems.

Earlier reporting by Dawn said the proposal was still being developed, with fare, frequency, boarding points and a launch date not yet announced. The CDA's September 25 statement did not provide those operational details.

The planned service is intended to support tourism and make it easier for residents and visitors to reach multiple attractions. Follow Pak Pulse 247 news coverage for verified updates on the plan and other developments in Pakistan.
