Mianwali: Fake Robbery Plan Ends in Tragedy, Husband Killed

A shocking incident in Mianwali has left the local community stunned after a staged robbery plan turned deadly.

According to police, a man had received PKR 300,000 from his father-in-law as a trust deposit. After the money was spent by the couple, the husband and wife allegedly decided to stage a fake robbery to cover up the loss. For this purpose, they reportedly purchased a pistol for PKR 15,000.

Police officials stated that the husband instructed his wife to shoot him in the arm so they could show an injury and make the robbery story believable. However, the woman, who had no firearms training, fired the shot with her eyes closed. The bullet struck the man in the back instead, resulting in his death on the spot.

The incident was later revealed during investigation, and the woman was taken into custody. Authorities have registered a case and further legal proceedings are underway.

The tragic event highlights how poor decisions and misuse of weapons can turn deception into irreversible loss.
